Teacher candidates looking to contribute their skills, talent, and experience to the natural place to learn, share and grow are invited to find out more about the variety of rewarding teaching opportunities available at the NVSD.

Families with students in Grades 7 to 11 are invited to learn about the various enhanced programs and academies offered at secondary schools throughout the school district. The event will take place on Wednesday, January 14 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Carson Graham Secondary (2145 Jones Avenue). ​

​Join the Digital Media Academy (DMA) and Digital Media Academy Lite (DMA Lite) on January 21 at 6:30 p.m. in the Argyle Secondary School Library.

The Elementary Band and Strings program is a unique instrumental music program that is distinctive to the NVSD. Band and Strings complements the BC Ministry of Education's Arts Education curriculum and provides school-based instrumental ensemble instruction to students in the intermediate grades.​

From The Ground is on view at the Gordon Smith Gallery from September 19, 2025 to February 26, 2026​. Curated by Holly Schmidt and Amelia Epp, the exhibition features works by contemporary artists alongside works from the Artists for Kids and Gordon Smith Gallery Permanent Collection.​
