TOPIC/PREAMBLE The School District is a public body and a local public body within the meaning of the British Columbia Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act (the “Act"). Under the Act, decision-making authority is vested in the “Head" of the public body.
The Board of Education is responsible for designating a person or group of persons as the “Head" under section 77 of the Act, and may do so by bylaw or other legal instrument by which the local public body acts.
BYLAW: APPOINTMENT OF SECRETARY TREASURER AS HEAD OF SCHOOL DISTRICT
For the purposes of section 77 of the British Columbia Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act, R.S.B.C. 1996, c. 165 (“Act"), the Secretary Treasurer is designated as the “Head' of the School District under the Act.
