To register a student or submit a transfer application, please make an appointment using our online booking system, complete a registration or transfer form, and review the information on our Registration web page to ensure you bring all the required material for your appointment. To notify us of a student withdrawal, please email withdrawals@sd44.ca.

Education Services Centre

The Education Services Centre (2121 Lonsdale Avenue) will be closed to the public between December 23-26, 2024, and January 1-2, 2025; however, it will be open to the public on December 27, 30 31, and January 3.

National Ribbon Skirt Day, inspired by the experience of Isabella Kulak, is a Canadian celebration honouring the ribbon skirt traditionally worn by Indigenous women. It is observed annually on January 4 and was first celebrated in 2023.

Initial registration for 2025/2026 Kindergarten (children born in 2020) runs from Tuesday, October 8 to Monday, January 6, 2024. Detailed instructions on the registration process, including forms and documentation required, is available on the Kindergarten web page.
Note: you will need to book an appointment to register your child.
Registrations received after January 6 will be placed according to the available space, facilities, resources, or the appropriate educational program required to meet the student's needs and parent/legal guardians place of residence.

Initial registration for students new to the school district, and initial transfer requests for existing NVSD students in Grades 1-12 begin on Monday, January 6 and end on Friday, March 7. Registrations and transfer requests received after March 7 will be placed in schools based on catchments where space is available. Visit the Student Registration web page for detailed information.

Information about the development process for annual school calendars and a copy of the Proposed 2025/2026 School Calendar can be found on our website.
The opportunity to provide your comments and feedback through an online submission form begins Tuesday, January 14, and ends on Tuesday, February 11, 2025, 11:59 p.m.
