Vancouver Coastal Health screens Kindergarten children in three areas:

1. Hearing : the Mobile Hearing Clinic screens for hearing loss and for medical conditions of the outer and inner ear.

2. Vision : Children are screened for possible visual defects. They do not diagnose vision disorders, but rather identify potential problems that need to be further examined by an optometrist.

3. Dental : Children are screened for possible oral problems that may need further examination by a dentist.
