Central Europe 2016

Europe 2016.JPG

During spring break, 45 students and 4 teachers took a remarkable journey through Central Europe.  Their itinerary included Germany, Austria, Liechtenstein, Switzerland, the Netherlands and the Czech Republic.  They summited Mount Pilatus in Lucerne, took a canal cruise through Amsterdam, visited castles and monuments and enjoyed some of the finest chocolate and cheese in the world.  The focus of this trip was on modern European history as the students learned about such things as the horrors of World War 2 in Dachau, the Cold War in Berlin, and legacy of the Habsburgs in Austria.  The group would like to acknowledge the hard work put in by Mr. Carlson to make this trip happen.  For more details on the experience, please visit the blog that was kept throughout the trip at https://.handswortheurope2016.wordpress.com
