Adult Graduation Program
The BC Ministry of Education recognizes the need for varying
pathways to graduation. Most secondary school students are on the 2023
Graduation Program, which consists of 80 credits (20 courses) from the
Grade 10, 11, and 12 levels.

The
Adult Graduation Program is for adult learners (18 years of age and
older) who want to take courses in order to complete high school and
obtain their adult high school diploma. Note the requirements of 20
credits (5 courses).
The Adult Graduation Program may not
allow a student to enter directly into some post-secondary programs, and
students may find themselves having to upgrade courses at a later date.
Students must be 18 years of age or older to start the Adult Graduation Program
The student is required to complete at least 3 of their 5 courses after they start the Adult Graduation Program
Students
on the Adult Graduation Program are not required to complete the
Graduation Numeracy or Literacy Assessments; however, some
post-secondary institutions may require that students write
assessments/examinations for admission purposes.
Ungraduated Adults are eligible for funding for courses that lead to their graduation. For courses not covered by the Ministry of Education and Child Care, a non-refundable fee of $550 per course will be charged, payable at the time of registration.
