Students who permanently reside in B.C. can take a course through Summer Learning at no cost. International students are required to pay a non-refundable course fee. There is a resource deposit of $100 for Full Credit courses.

The resources deposit is refunded upon completion of the course and return of all borrowed materials. All borrowed materials (textbooks, novels, calculators) must be returned by the  beginning of the last class to qualify for a refund of the resource deposit. If required for a course, a consumable workbook fee will be charged to students' resource deposits.  Courses requiring workbooks students work in and keep include Foundations of Math & Pre-Calculus 10, Pre-Calculus 11 and 12,  . Chemistry 11 and 12.  This fee will be deducted from the resources deposit refund.   Any damage to school property is the responsibility of the student and the student's family, and the cost of repair and/or replacement of damaged property will be charged to the resource deposit.  If this cost exceeds the $100 deposit amount, the remaining balance due will be added to the student's School Cash Online account as a required fee and must be paid.

Refunds of resource deposit balances: ​ they will be issued by late August back to the purchaser's original form of payment through School Cash Online. If you pay the resource deposit using a credit card, please ensure the expiry date is valid through August 31, 2024. Expired credit cards cannot be issued refunds. If your credit card refund is denied for any reason, your refund will then need to be issued in September 2024 by cheque from the North Vancouver School District and mailed to you.  This is due to the School Cash Online system where schools cannot update / change purchasers' credit card information.  ​
