In this section, we will provide up to date information for both Grade 11 students and our Grade 12 grads. You will be able to keep current regarding post-secondary information and upcoming important dates. Just click on the sub titles under Grade 12 Information.
Graduation Ceremony Speech
Preparations for the June Graduation Ceremony are underway. Grade 12s will draft their parting words, that will be read as they cross the Orpheum stage, in the CLC 12 classes. Speeches will not exceed 300 characters, including spaces, and be written in 3rd person. Sample speeches and instructions for submission will be provided.
The draft is due: January 31, 2025.
If students would like to make changes to their speech before the ceremony, final edits are due: April 30, 2025.
Scholarships and Bursary Information
This information will be shared with students via Teams in September 2024: At Sutherland, we ask students who wish to be considered for all scholarship and bursary opportunities to fill out a Sutherland Scholarship and Bursary form. You will find a link to the form below.
The information you provide on this form will be reviewed by the Scholarship Committee. This is a closed committee; all information will be kept confidential. The Sutherland Scholarship Committee works hard to find and distribute as many scholarships and as widely as possible; the more detailed your answers, the better able we are to help you.
Please be advised, the completion of this form does not guarantee a scholarship will be awarded.
In order to be considered for all opportunities, this form must be submitted by: December 31, 2024 at 12pm.
Counting Credits for Graduation
You will need your Personal Education Number (P.E.N.) to log in the the Ministry of Education website. Your nine-digit P.E.N. can be found at the top of your report card.

The Student Certification Branch has released the
Education Planner BC for
students in Grade 12. This planner answers the common questions students have in their
graduating year. It contains information
on Numeracy and Literacy Assessments, receiving and sending transcripts, applying
to post-secondary institutions and much more.
