What does an electrician do?
- Electrical workers plan, assemble, install, test, repair and maintain electrical equipment in commercial, residential, industrial and marine facilities.
- Ensures that all electrical connections are safe and meet the standards set by the electrical code.
What do I need to start?
- Entering Grade 11 or Grade 12
- Good employability skills
- A willingness to learn
- Strong interest in entering industry
- Mechanical aptitude is an asset
- Recommended: English 12, Math 11, Physics 11/12
