What is the Transportation Trades Sampler?
The Transportation Trades Sampler program is a partnership between NVSD, VCC, and SkilledTradesBC that allows students to explore different disciplines related to transportation trades.
Students get an introduction to key elements of automotive service, collision and refinishing, prep, painting, and heavy-duty equipment before choosing an apprenticeship or career path.
What do I need to start?
Entering Grade 11 or Grade 12
Good employability skills and a willingness to learn
Parent/guardian permission
Ability to travel throughout the Lower Mainland
What are the benefits?
Post-secondary trades training without the tuition fee
Complete up to 12 credits towards graduation
Credential earned upon completion: Short Certificate
When and where is the program offered?
300 hours, full-time (combination of approximately 25% classroom instruction and 75% practical activity)
Program takes place at VCC (Broadway Campus)
Takes place February - April

Please do not apply directly to VCC for this program. To be eligible for TUITION FREE programming, you must apply through the North Vancouver School District!
