NVSD academies enhance the overall student experience by providing learning environments that concentrate on a focal skill set. Students in Grades 8-12 can accelerate their knowledge and skill development in an area of interest that can form a foundation for successful postgraduation pursuits.​

The Community Report is a tradition within NVSD, and we are delighted to share the 2026 edition with the broader North Vancouver community as well as other educators, administrators and curious public! For Education Week 2026, we introduced a refreshed, fully digital Community Report.

Teacher candidates looking to contribute their skills, talent, and experience to the natural place to learn, share and grow are invited to find out more about the variety of rewarding teaching opportunities available at the NVSD.

'One Hundred Artists Deep,' curated by Andrea Valentine-Lewis,​ features eight local artists who were invited to create new work in response to artworks from the Artists for Kids Permanent Collection by founders Bill Reid, Jack Shadbolt, and Gordon Smith.

This collection of limited edition prints by Russna Kaur, Elizabeth McIntosh and Gathie Falk have been brought together to consider the intersections across generations through mentorship, influence, and time. Currently on display in the ESC lobby, the 2026 Spring Portfolio​ is now available for acquisition.

The dual credit Professional Cook 1​ program at Carson Graham Secondary introduces students in Grades 11-12 to kitchen operations, cooking fundamentals, baking, butchery, and café service while building teamwork, communication, and time-management skills. Apply by April 17.
