​​​Procedures for Volunteers: Sherwood Park 2024-2025

1. All Volunteers must complete the below forms each school year. Fillable PDF versions of these forms are found at the bottom of this page. Printed copies are also available at the school office:
1. Volunteer Application
2. Volunteer Code
3. Confidentiality Declaration form.
2. If driving, you also need to complete:
1. Volunteer Driver Application form each school year
2. Copy of Vehicle Insurance to show registration and third party liability must be a minimum of $1,000,000.
3. Obtain Drivers Record through ICBC. This record is kept on file at the school for 3 years.
3. Interview: All Volunteers are required to have a short interview with the Principal. You can book your appointment time via email at sherwoodpark@sd44.ca Attn: Volunteer Interview. We need to have your volunteer forms returned before you book the appointment.
4. Criminal Record Check (CRC): All volunteers who will/could be alone with students must now have a Criminal Record Check processed by the School District. This record is kept on file for 5 years at the North Vancouver School District (NVSD).
1. The school will send volunteers a link to the District after volunteer forms have been submitted.
   
2. Volunteers will fill out the online form and receive detailed instructions and form to take to the RCMP.
   
3. Obtain PIC/CRC at the RCMP office. NVSD requires original paper copy, digital copies are not accepted.
4. Return PIC/CRC document to the North Vancouver School District located at 2121 Lonsdale Ave.
5. The district will notify the school that the PIC?CRC has been completed after the document has been reviewed.

The NVSD is able to accept CRC's from other organizations as long as they meet the following criteria:

1. CRC is conducted by either RCMP or Police Department
   
2. The CRC is the original paper copy which you will submit to the NVSD
   
3. It has been conducted within the last year
