School Based Resource Team
Cleveland School has a School Based Resource Team (SBRT) that meets regularly to review student learning issues, to review learning plans, and to provide support for students and the classroom teachers. Members of the SBRT include: Learning Assistance teachers, Speech and Language Pathologist, School Psychologist, Classroom teachers, Learning Support teacher, Learning Support worker, Principal and Vice-Principal.
Classroom teachers make referrals to the SBRT to support the learning needs of an individual student or groups of students.
Learning Plans
Students requiring extra support may require the development of a specific learning plan, which outlines short term or long term goals and strategies. Learning plans can be short, or in the case of students who have a designated learning need, quite complex. These Individual Education Plans (IEPs) are developed collaboratively, with input from teachers, parents, other educational professionals, and in some cases, the students themselves.
