Visual artist Anna Binta Diallo
joined AFK as artist-in-residence this fall. We are sharing a recorded artist talk and a series of 3 art activity
videos led by the artist. These videos provide an introduction to Anna Binta Diallo’s creative process and feature collage-based art activities that can be carried out in the classroom or at home.

Anna Binta Diallo - BIO
Anna Binta Diallo is
a Canadian multi-disciplinary visual artist who investigates memory and
nostalgia to create unexpected narratives surrounding identity. As a collector of source and archival material, she works with collage, painting, drawing, design and video. She is interested in blended identities and her work borrows from historical facts intertwined with surreal imagery. Anna Binta Diallo is currently based in Montreal, or Tio’tia:ke, on the traditional territory of the Kanien’kehá:ka.
