Learning involves patience and time. Summer
Learning review and completion at Eslha7an supports Indigenous students who need a little more time. Students who are part way through a course are invited to further develop their competencies and understanding before moving on to the next school year.
Learning ultimately supports the well-being of the self, the family, the community, the land, the spirits, and the ancestors. With this principle at the heart of our program, Summer Learning at Eslha7an is highly personalized. Through careful teacher planning in collaboration with each student, individual course completion plans are made. Students are invited to enroll to review and complete one course. Student can choose from any of the core academic courses from grades 8 through 12.
Summer Learning would like to thank the Coast Salish people, specifically the
SkwxwΓΊ7mesh Nation and Tsleil-Waututh Nations, on whose unceded
traditional territory the North Vancouver School District resides. We
value the opportunity to learn, share and grow on this traditional
territory.β
