At Carson Graham, we believe that anyone and everyone can dance!
Carson Graham offers a variety of dance classes for every level of dancer. In Dance 9, students are introduced to a variety of dance styles, including hip hop, contemporary, jazz, tap, cultural dance, and more. In grades 10-12, students can choose whether they want to learn a variety of dance styles (Dance Foundations) or whether they want to focus on Hip Hop (Dance Crew). Advanced dance students in grades 9-12 have the option of Contemporary Dance Company or Hip Hop Dance Company; our Dance Company groups are designed for advanced-level students who prefer a more challenging environment. Placement in Dance Company is by audition and/or recommendation of the dance teacher. All Carson dancers will be given the opportunity to perform in a year-end dance showcase, while some Carson classes may be able to perform in school assemblies, music concerts, flash mobs, dance videos, dance recitals and/or dance competitions.
At Carson, our goal is to empower students with the tools they need to challenge themselves, build confidence, and fully explore their potential. Depending on the specific class, students will also explore topics relating to physical, emotional, and mental health. To enhance dance technique, all dance students participate in dance conditioning and flexibility training. Students will gain a better understanding of anatomy and physiology of the human body, giving them the skills to engage in safe dance training practices. Dancers will also have the chance to explore topics relating to dance history, cultural styles, and influential dance choreographers.
Come join the Carson Graham Dance family and discover your passion for dance!
