The Media Mix

Join The Media Mix: Careers in TV, Film, Theatre, and Journalism on December 5, 2024, from 8:30 AM to 1:00 PM at the North Vancouver School District Office (2121 Lonsdale Ave, 5th floor). Grade 10-12 students will explore academic pathways, career trends, portfolio tips, and industry insights through dynamic keynote sessions and round-robin workshops. See your school WEX facilitator for details. Sign up by December 2nd!
Saturday December 7 - Argyle Secondary School

Representatives from visual effects, animation, film, sound, web and game design to answer industry, education and career-related questions; DMA students will also showcase the projects they are working on. The Expo takes place on Saturday, December 7, from 12 noon to 3 p.m., and is free to attend.

Public speaking competition

Come learn about the National Speech Contest for students and also practicea few impromtu skills with support from Toastmasters members. A virtual session to learn about the speakers competition and a mini workshop
to develop better public speaking skills. December 5th or 7th.

UBC Youth Outreach Mentorship Program

This program connects high school students with UBC Medical Students to learn more about being a university student, learning about self-care, and applying to UBC medical school.
